Exercise

Proper posture

Proper movements

Engaging the muscles in the abdomen and lower back will help to keep the back strong and well supported. Talk to your doctor or physiotherapist to learn which exercises will best suit your sciatica needs.
Proper posture both while standing and sitting with a special focus on seated posture can go a long way in easing strain on the lower back. Choose a seat with good lower back support, arm rests, and in which you can comfortably have your feet on the ground with your knees and hips level.
Using the proper technique and form when performing tasks that involve the back is incredibly important in preventing injury. Doing so can prevent unnecessary strain that can lead to sciatica.
